"Yoga off the Mat"

Fridays 6:30-7:30pm w/Karissa Bryant
Donation Only

The teachings of yoga are profoundly relevant for our lives today. Many of us aren't aware that the physical practice of yoga is a relatively small part of the entire approach. Karissa Bryant, an internationally trained yoga teacher, is offering a free weekly discussion group open to all which is a gateway to delve deeper into this 5,000 year tradition of wisdom. The teachings provide tools for all of us to better understand ourselves and our world by exploring spiritual, social and psychological dimensions of being. The result is an awakening to live more intentionally and effectively, an invitation to feel calm, confident, and clear in each moment.

As a yoga teacher or a seeker who strives to explore the deeper dimensions of yoga, you may have noticed the immeasurable depth and breadth of wisdom that the Eastern traditions have to offer. This class breaks down topics like the Yoga Sutras, yamas and niyamas, chakras, koshas (the 5 bodies), and the Bhagavad Gita. Although the information builds week by week, students are welcome to drop-in any time. Each class begins with a summary of one of the basic tenets of yoga which leads into an open discussion of how to apply these teachings in our everyday lives. Free Class - Donations only.
